Important Science Fair Project Dates: 11/29 Project Proposal Initial Draft due 12/03 Project Proposal Final Draft due 12/07 Students may start project set up on their own at home 12/10 - 12/14 Students may set up projects in Science class 12/20 Students will need to take projects started in class home for the Holiday Break 12/21 Students who have not started their projects may start projects at home 01/07 Last day to set up projects if students have not done so by now (this is VERY late) 01/09 SF Logbook Check #1 in Science class today 01/14 Abstract Writing Lesson in Science class sometime this week Week of 01/21 Students will be allotted some time in Science class to work on SF Project Display Board 01/23 SF Logbook Check #2 in Science class today; All project experiments should end today. 01/29 SF Project Display Boards due today in Science class 01/30 - 01/31 (MS)2TC Science Fair Project Exhibit in Butcher Commons; exhibit will be opened for parents/students to tour and view 01/17 Thursday Following are student handouts that have been given and reviewed with students in Science class thus far:
7th Grade School Site Investigation Project Information Upcoming due dates for School Site Investigation Project:
Quarter 4 Student groups should be ready to implement their School Site Project action plans during this time. The following are planned work days for students to implement (build, put together, set up) their projects during (MS)2TC class time: 04/26 Friday Work Day 1 05/02 Thursday Work Day 2 05/10 Friday Work Day 3 05/15 Wednesday Mrs. Toy will be available after school until 5 pm 05/16 Thursday Mrs. Duddles will be available after school until 5 pm 05/29 Wednesday School Site Project presentations Quarter 3 Student groups should be working on fundraising to finance the cost of their School Site Project action plans during this time. Groups should also continue to research background information related to their action plan as well as obtaining necessary materials for their projects. Groups should be ready to implement their action plans by the end of Q3 and as the MI weather permits. See Action Plan Implementation Stage student handout for guidance. 12/07 School Site Project Action Plan Write-up is due today in Science class 12/12 School Site Project Action Plan Poster due today in Science class 12/19 - 12/20 School Site Project Action Plan presentation in ELA class Following are student handouts that have been given and reviewed with students in class. (Please note that student groups have had time allocated in Math & Science class to work on various activities to support the School Site Investigation Project as well as time to work on their own Action Plan for the School Site project.)
